Prioritization Report of Therapeutic
Research Gaps and Needs in Pregnant,
Postpartum, and Lactating Women

This report summarizes research gaps and needs for therapeutics used during pregnancy, postpartum, and lactation, identified through stakeholder and expert working group discussions conducted from 2024–2026 with support from the MPRINT Hub. It provides a framework to guide future research in historically understudied areas but does not represent NIH clinical recommendations or formal NIH research priorities.

We welcome your input and feedback on priority research areas for PPL women.
